On some hosts including in the configure feature/analysis or --with-package=heapscope along with the ptest builds enable-test=yes or feature/ptest will cause a build failure. This was observed on one ubuntu 14.04 host, but not observed on another ubuntu 12.04 hosts. This failure does not impact the heapscope implementation, only the compilation of the heapscope tests on at lease one host os version.
The workaround is to avoid compiling with ptest with heapscope on ubuntu 14.04 hosts.
