The physical media package delivered to customers contains two printed sets of instructions which are currently incorrect: 1.) DOC-182998-ND-00 ("Important Information about Installing Wind River Linux 7 and Profiles") provides the following directions: - - - - - To install, run the setup_linux setup program for Linux, or setup.exe for Windows(r), then follow the instructions provided on the screen. For additional help, use the Help button from any installation screen. - - - - - This is currently incorrect, as the provided disks contain a set of zipped archive files and a README.TXT file, and the README.TXT file provides the correct steps to follow. The printed documentation should be modified to reflect this fact, as there is nothing in the current document which points the user to this file. 2.) The Developer Install Guide (DOC-16211-ND-00) has the same issue. Step 3 for the developer (both temporary and permanent activation) refers to simply inserting the first disk and following the instructions, which is incorrect. It's not possible to install the product until all four disks have been processed as describe in the README.TXT file.
