CVE-2019-14835 A buffer overflow flaw was found, in versions from 2.6.34 to 5.2.x, in the way Linux kernel\'s vhost functionality that translates virtqueue buffers to IOVs, logged the buffer descriptors during migration. A privileged guest user able to pass descriptors with invalid length to the host when migration is underway, could use this flaw to increase their privileges on the host. High Sep 19, 2019 10.17.41.19 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-1000120 A buffer overflow exists in curl 7.12.3 to and including curl 7.58.0 in the FTP URL handling that allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or worse. HIGH Mar 14, 2018 10.17.41.6 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2019-11455 A buffer over-read in Util_urlDecode in util.c in Tildeslash Monit before 5.25.3 allows a remote authenticated attacker to retrieve the contents of adjacent memory via manipulation of GET or POST parameters. The attacker can also cause a denial of service (application outage). Medium May 8, 2019 10.17.41.17 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2020-10769 A buffer over-read flaw was found in RH kernel versions before 5.0 in crypto_authenc_extractkeys in crypto/authenc.c in the IPsec Cryptographic algorithm\'s module, authenc. When a payload longer than 4 bytes, and is not following 4-byte alignment boundary guidelines, it causes a buffer over-read threat, leading to a system crash. This flaw allows a local attacker with user privileges to cause a denial of service. LOW Jun 26, 2020 10.17.41.21 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-1000122 A buffer over-read exists in curl 7.20.0 to and including curl 7.58.0 in the RTSP+RTP handling code that allows an attacker to cause a denial of service or information leakage MEDIUM Mar 14, 2018 10.17.41.6 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2020-28915 A buffer over-read (at the framebuffer layer) in the fbcon code in the Linux kernel before 5.8.15 could be used by local attackers to read kernel memory, aka CID-6735b4632def. MEDIUM Nov 18, 2020 10.17.41.23 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-16869 A Bleichenbacher type side-channel based padding oracle attack was found in the way nettle handles endian conversion of RSA decrypted PKCS#1 v1.5 data. An attacker who is able to run a process on the same physical core as the victim process, could use this flaw extract plaintext or in some cases downgrade any TLS connections to a vulnerable server. LOW Dec 6, 2018 10.17.41.14 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-16868 A Bleichenbacher type side-channel based padding oracle attack was found in the way gnutls handles verification of RSA decrypted PKCS#1 v1.5 data. An attacker who is able to run process on the same physical core as the victim process, could use this to extract plaintext or in some cases downgrade any TLS connections to a vulnerable server. LOW Dec 6, 2018 10.17.41.14 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2019-15902 A backporting error was discovered in the Linux stable/longterm kernel 4.4.x through 4.4.190, 4.9.x through 4.9.190, 4.14.x through 4.14.141, 4.19.x through 4.19.69, and 5.2.x through 5.2.11. Misuse of the upstream x86/ptrace: Fix possible spectre-v1 in ptrace_get_debugreg() commit reintroduced the Spectre vulnerability that it aimed to eliminate. This occurred because the backport process depends on cherry picking specific commits, and because two (correctly ordered) code lines were swapped. High Sep 6, 2019 10.17.41.18 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2021-3609 .A flaw was found in the CAN BCM networking protocol in the Linux kernel, where a local attacker can abuse a flaw in the CAN subsystem to corrupt memory, crash the system or escalate privileges. This race condition in net/can/bcm.c in the Linux kernel allows for local privilege escalation to root. MEDIUM Jun 21, 2021 10.17.41.25 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)

All references and descriptions in this candidate have been removed to prevent accidental usage. -- Dec 20, 2018 10.17.41.14 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-20534 ** DISPUTED ** There is an illegal address access at ext/testcase.c in libsolv.a in libsolv through 0.7.2 that will cause a denial of service. NOTE: third parties dispute this issue stating that the issue affects the test suite and not the underlying library. It cannot be exploited in any real-world application. MEDIUM Dec 28, 2018 10.17.41.14 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2017-18207 ** DISPUTED ** The Wave_read._read_fmt_chunk function in Lib/wave.py in Python through 3.6.4 does not ensure a nonzero channel value, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero and exception) via a crafted wav format audio file. NOTE: the vendor disputes this issue because Python applications need to be prepared to handle a wide variety of exceptions. MEDIUM Mar 23, 2018 10.17.41.19 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2017-7961 ** DISPUTED ** The cr_tknzr_parse_rgb function in cr-tknzr.c in libcroco 0.6.11 and 0.6.12 has an outside the range of representable values of type long undefined behavior issue, which might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted CSS file. NOTE: third-party analysis reports This is not a security issue in my view. The conversion surely is truncating the double into a long value, but there is no impact as the value is one of the RGB components. MEDIUM Jun 18, 2019 10.17.41.19 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-7995 ** DISPUTED ** Race condition in the store_int_with_restart() function in arch/x86/kernel/cpu/mcheck/mce.c in the Linux kernel through 4.15.7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by leveraging root access to write to the check_interval file in a /sys/devices/system/machinecheck/machinecheck<cpu number> directory. NOTE: a third party has indicated that this report is not security relevant. MEDIUM Mar 9, 2018 10.17.41.8 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-1000204 ** DISPUTED ** Linux Kernel version 3.18 to 4.16 incorrectly handles an SG_IO ioctl on /dev/sg0 with dxfer_direction=SG_DXFER_FROM_DEV and an empty 6-byte cmdp. This may lead to copying up to 1000 kernel heap pages to the userspace. This has been fixed upstream in https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/a45b599ad808c3c982fdcdc12b0b8611c2f92824 already. The problem has limited scope, as users don\'t usually have permissions to access SCSI devices. On the other hand, e.g. the Nero user manual suggests doing `chmod o+r+w /dev/sg*` to make the devices accessible. NOTE: third parties dispute the relevance of this report, noting that the requirement for an attacker to have both the CAP_SYS_ADMIN and CAP_SYS_RAWIO capabilities makes it virtually impossible to exploit. MEDIUM Jun 26, 2018 10.17.41.9 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-10021 ** DISPUTED ** drivers/scsi/libsas/sas_scsi_host.c in the Linux kernel before 4.16 allows local users to cause a denial of service (ata qc leak) by triggering certain failure conditions. NOTE: a third party disputes the relevance of this report because the failure can only occur for physically proximate attackers who unplug SAS Host Bus Adapter cables. MEDIUM Apr 11, 2018 10.17.41.8 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2018-16585 ** DISPUTED ** An issue was discovered in Artifex Ghostscript before 9.24. The .setdistillerkeys PostScript command is accepted even though it is not intended for use during document processing (e.g., after the startup phase). This leads to memory corruption, allowing remote attackers able to supply crafted PostScript to crash the interpreter or possibly have unspecified other impact. Note: A reputable source believes that the CVE is potentially a duplicate of CVE-2018-15910 as explained in Red Hat bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1626193). MEDIUM Sep 9, 2018 10.17.41.12 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
CVE-2015-4646 (1) unsquash-1.c, (2) unsquash-2.c, (3) unsquash-3.c, and (4) unsquash-4.c in Squashfs and sasquatch allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted input. MEDIUM Apr 13, 2017 10.17.41.13 (Wind River Linux LTS 17)
