The commit reverted in the patch for LIN7-6741 needs to be applied only on our fsl-t2xxx kernel branches. If this is applied to our fsl-e500mc boards it renders them unbootable. Commit 821f786: ppc/e500mc: add AltiVec unavailable exception handler should remain bsp specific (specific to fsl-t2xxx). The patch in 821f786 must be either rewritten or it or resent only for e6500 core boards by specifying the kernel branch: standard/preempt-rt/fsl/sdk-1-8/fsl-t2xxx and not standard/preempt-rt/fsl/sdk-1-8/fsl-e500mc Also it should probably be applied to all kernels of the aforementioned BSP not just preempt-rt
