                Hi,
We have noticed a large number of drops and error on LMT Ethernet interface (transmit error and overrun counters increase on the eth0). The problem with out of order and retransmissions seen in the LAN traces only shows on the LMT port which is as also the only port were transmit errors are reported by the OS. Errors occurs in both directions but only the DU reports them, network switches in the other end seems to see no problem. We have not noticed any problems with an internal link in the DU, or possibly that the PHY for the LMT port is sensitive to electromagnetic interference. The port is special as it shares contact with a serial interface.
It is possible that we get link discovery packets from the network switches, but those should in that case show as ignored or dropped not as errors. The latter would be very confusing and it still doesn’t explain why we see transmit errors on the eth0 interface.

Could you please help to figure out the reason of the errors?
Thanks,
