The iwlist utility from the wireless-tools-1_29-r4 package can fail in environments where there are a large number (hundreds, for example) of wireless access points. If called in such an environment, the user will see an error similar to the one below: # iwlist wlan0 scan returns --> "print_scanning_info: Allocation failed.”
