Fix Version: 6.0.0.9
Severity: Standard
Applicable for: Wind River Linux 6
Component/s: BSP - Async
For WRL 6.0 Async BSP - cavium-octeon3, "Simple Executive" test case fail.
1. create a project based on cavium-octeon3 BSP and WRLinux 6 (what I used is WRL 6007):
/lpg-build/cdc/fast_prod/wrlinux6007/dvd_install/lastest_dvd/wrlinux-6/wrlinux/configure --enable-jobs=12 --enable-parallel-pkgbuilds=12 --enable-kernel=standard --enable-rootfs=glibc_std --enable-board=cav-octeon3 --enable-test=yes --enable-reconfig --with-layer=../wr-testing/bts,../wr-testing/kts-test,../wr-testing/ltp/,wr-bsps/cav-octeon3/wr-cavium-simple-exec --with-template=feature/kts-standard,feature/kts-basic,feature/kts-extended,feature/kexec --enable-build=profiling
2. build the project and the simple-exec test binary will be put at project_dir/export folder, for example:
project_dir/export/cav-octeon3-app-args-cvmx_n32_proprietary
3. copy the files to destination directory, for example:
cp project_dir/export/cav-octeon3-app-args-cvmx_n32_proprietary /net/pek-tuxlab/export/pxeboot/vlm-boards/21143/rootfs/tmp
4. power on the board and execute the following command to run the test in u-boot shell:
4.1 tftp $(loadaddr) vlm-boards/21247/rootfs/tmp/cav-octeon3-app-args-cvmx_n32_proprietary
4.2 bootoct $(loadaddr) coremask=0x1 endbootargs -arg1 arg2=foo -another_arg
you will see that except "Bootloader: Done loading app on coremask: 0x1", system does not print any other information
