CVE-2023-34319 The fix for XSA-423 added logic to Linux\'es netback driver to deal with a frontend splitting a packet in a way such that not all of the headers would come in one piece. Unfortunately the logic introduced there didn\'t account for the extreme case of the entire packet being split into as many pieces as permitted by the protocol, yet still being smaller than the area that\'s specially dealt with to keep all (possible) headers together. Such an unusual packet would therefore trigger a buffer overrun in the driver. -- Aug 9, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)
CVE-2023-4194 A flaw was found in the Linux kernel\'s TUN/TAP functionality. This issue could allow a local user to bypass network filters and gain unauthorized access to some resources. The original patches fixing CVE-2023-1076 are incorrect or incomplete. The problem is that the following upstream commits - a096ccca6e50 (tun: tun_chr_open(): correctly initialize socket uid), - 66b2c338adce (tap: tap_open(): correctly initialize socket uid), pass inode->i_uid to sock_init_data_uid() as the last parameter and that turns out to not be accurate. -- Aug 7, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)

CVE-2023-3824 In PHP version 8.0.* before 8.0.30,  8.1.* before 8.1.22, and 8.2.* before 8.2.8, when loading phar file, while reading PHAR directory entries, insufficient length checking may lead to a stack buffer overflow, leading potentially to memory corruption or RCE.  -- Aug 4, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)
CVE-2023-3823 In PHP versions 8.0.* before 8.0.30, 8.1.* before 8.1.22, and 8.2.* before 8.2.8 various XML functions rely on libxml global state to track configuration variables, like whether external entities are loaded. This state is assumed to be unchanged unless the user explicitly changes it by calling appropriate function. However, since the state is process-global, other modules - such as ImageMagick - may also use this library within the same process, and change that global state for their internal purposes, and leave it in a state where external entities loading is enabled. This can lead to the situation where external XML is parsed with external entities loaded, which can lead to disclosure of any local files accessible to PHP. This vulnerable state may persist in the same process across many requests, until the process is shut down.  -- Aug 4, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)

CVE-2023-37732 Yasm v1.3.0.78 was found prone to NULL Pointer Dereference in /libyasm/intnum.c and /elf/elf.c, which allows the attacker to cause a denial of service via a crafted file. -- Jul 26, 2023 10.19.45.29 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)
CVE-2023-29409 Extremely large RSA keys in certificate chains can cause a client/server to expend significant CPU time verifying signatures. With fix, the size of RSA keys transmitted during handshakes is restricted to <= 8192 bits. Based on a survey of publicly trusted RSA keys, there are currently only three certificates in circulation with keys larger than this, and all three appear to be test certificates that are not actively deployed. It is possible there are larger keys in use in private PKIs, but we target the web PKI, so causing breakage here in the interests of increasing the default safety of users of crypto/tls seems reasonable. -- Jul 27, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)
CVE-2023-37920 Certifi is a curated collection of Root Certificates for validating the trustworthiness of SSL certificates while verifying the identity of TLS hosts. CVE-2023-3776 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel\'s net/sched: cls_fw component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. If tcf_change_indev() fails, fw_set_parms() will immediately return an error after incrementing or decrementing the reference counter in tcf_bind_filter(). If an attacker can control the reference counter and set it to zero, they can cause the reference to be freed, leading to a use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading past commit 0323bce598eea038714f941ce2b22541c46d488f. -- Jul 24, 2023 10.19.45.30 (Wind River Linux LTS 19)
