The default settings for ubuntu 12.04 classic gnome desktop are not compatible with the tool ovpmgr_gui.sh that is used to copy guest kernel objects into an ovp host target's rootfs. A work-around exists for gnome unbuntu 12.04 classic, but the problem is also reported on windows. Other platforms, desktop manager may experience the same issue.
The workaround is only valid for unbuntu 12.04 classic gnome desktop displays
This workaround applies only to classic ubuntu 12.04
Download gnome-tweak-tool in synaptic or with apt-get and launch it.
Select fonts on the left, then change the scaling factor from 1.0 to .8
