After the system enters emergency mode, the console does not display the full text of the echo message from /lib/systemd/system/emergency.service.
Instead only "Welcome to emerg" comes out followed by the output of the sulogin:
Welcome to emergGive root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):
Attempts to add sleep -5 after the echo line resulted in the display of "Welocme to emerg" followed by 5 seconds of pause followed by the sulogin output.
Changing the console's baudrate from 9600 to 115200 did not change the observed behavior.
After logging in, type "journalctl -xb" to view system logs, "systemctl reboot" to reboot, "systemctl default" or ^D to Give
