Description

When building perf using the wrlinux-ovp distro, the perf build log shows 1 non-fatal error and 12 warnings. They do not appear to affect runtime but should be investigated. There are 3 classes of warnings:
1. Warning: Kernel ABI header at 'tools/arch/x86/lib/memset_64.S' differs from latest version at 'arch/x86/lib/memset_64.S'
2. x86_64-wrs-linux-gcc: warning: '-x c' after last input file has no effect
3.  ignoring return value of 'asprintf', declared with attribute warn_unused_result [-Wunused-result]

Steps to Reproduce

1) --machine intel-x86-64 --distro wrlinux-ovp --dl-layers
2) bitbake perf
