Severity: Standard
Applicable for: Wind River Linux LTS 17
Component/s: Build & Config
It appears to be some cross-contamination in wrlinux with the user work area and the images that are created.
Please refer to LIN8-7806 for a more detailed explanation. It seems the patch generated there was not ported to WRL LTS17. Please take a look at ./layers/oe-core/meta/recipes-devtools/opkg-utils/opkg-utils_0.3.5.bb
After a succesful build you can run a "find" inside <prjDir>/build/work/. and see a lot of directories with the structure of the host machine absolute path, including the ones of sysroot.
1. Configure a wrlinux-x project (a qemu project should work)
2. In the local.conf enable "ipk" packaging instead of rpm, enable downloading from the internet and wrlinux as the DISTRO instead of wrlinux-small
2. bitbake an std wrlinux image after sourcing the required env variables
3. verify the path on the host rootfs.
