LIN1025-6560 : Security Advisory - linux - CVE-2025-68223

Created: Dec 16, 2025    Updated: Dec 18, 2025
Found In Version: 10.25.33.1
Severity: Standard
Applicable for: Wind River Linux LTS 25
Component/s: Kernel

Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:[EOL][EOL]drm/radeon: delete radeon_fence_process in is_signaled, no deadlock[EOL][EOL]Delete the attempt to progress the queue when checking if fence is[EOL]signaled. This avoids deadlock.[EOL][EOL]dma-fence_ops::signaled can be called with the fence lock in unknown[EOL]state. For radeon, the fence lock is also the wait queue lock. This can[EOL]cause a self deadlock when signaled() tries to make forward progress on[EOL]the wait queue. But advancing the queue is unneeded because incorrectly[EOL]returning false from signaled() is perfectly acceptable.[EOL][EOL](cherry picked from commit 527ba26e50ec2ca2be9c7c82f3ad42998a75d0db)
