The kea environment variables are not passed (by kea-dhcp) to child process (kea-lfc), thus wrong path is used for lockfile by kea-lfc. If user sets the following environment for kea-dhcp: KEA_LOCKFILE_DIR=/run KEA_PIDFILE_DIR=/run KEA_LOGGER_DESTINATION=/var/log/kea.log But kea-lfc still uses default KEA_LOCKFILE_DIR (/var/runkea/logger_lockfile), the following error message will be printed: 2024-11-20T10:16:03.498274949+00:00 stderr F Unable to use interprocess sync lockfile (No such file or directory): /var/run/kea/logger_lockfile
