a pre-integrated, commercial-grade, and fully supported Linux operating system.
Based on the most up-to-date Linux kernel, version 2.6.27, Wind River Linux 3.0
provides a flexible and pervasive development environment comprising open
source components, broader hardware support, enhanced multicore, real-time and
networking capabilities, and approximately 250 additional software packages
over the previous version, bringing the total to over 500, which provides
additional functionality and customization options.
