The latest Wind River Linux, LTS21, is now generally
available, which includes:
·
Yocto 3.3 Alignment
With the latest 5.10 kernel,
users will benefit from an LTS kernel with advanced features.
·
Updated User-Space
Many packages have been
updated (Docker, gcc, glibc, etc.) and new ones added (libostree, chrony, and
others). We have also improved our support for Kubernetes.
·
Continued Support for Workbench
While Wind River Studio is our new cloud-native interface for development,
those with existing traditional workflows will be able to continue to leverage
Workbench for their development needs.
·
Linux Assembly Tool (LAT)
A significant step in making it easy to assemble a Linux system, LAT allows one
to easily create new device images and containers using pre-assembled pieces,
greatly simplifying and speeding up build times.
